About pin-d

I'm Nick. I founded pin-d in 2025. pin-d is a brand that promotes sobriety without being in your face about it. It's a way to show your sober pride and stand in solidarity with others. The colored pins represent months and/or years of sobriety. As your sober journey continues, you can change the pins to go along with your new milestones. 

A little backstory. Alcohol has been a part of my life for over 20 years. I never really considered myself an alcoholic until the last few years. I watched as my drinking increased and my need for alcohol intensified. I decided I had social anxiety as a way to drink before any sort of event. It became part of my lifestyle instead of an occasional thing. Had a good day. Drink. Had a bad day. Drink. Had a day. Drink. I could always find an excuse to drink. 

After two stints in detox in less than a year, it was time to get some help. I started an intensive outpatient program to help turn my life around. That was one of the best decisions in my life. As my sober journey continues, my creativity has started to return. pin-d is my first major creative project with sober eyes and thoughts. The days haven't been easy and I know there are difficult ones ahead. My reaction to those difficult days is what has changed. Get pin-d and come on this journey with me.
